Using North African skins, this product is double dyed and drum finished (not sprayed). The first dye layer is lighter in color than the second top layer. As the bottom layer “breaks” through the top layer you get a slight “distressed” look. There is a slight oiled finish on the surface of this skin and thus you have a “waxy” feel.
